Hans Zimmer

Zimmer adds a sensational edge to his minimalist style. His ability to create intense scores with astounding gestures utilizing essential riffs that don’t overpower the film overall makes him one of the famous modern-day composers. Some popular movies that he scored include Gladiator, Interstellar, series of Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, and the Dark Knight trilogy by Nolan – he got Oscar nominations for the three. Klaus Badelt

Badelt is a famous composer who has done several collaborations with the popular composer Zimmer. His skill for creating intensely emotional scores that can make one experience the emotions expressed in the movie can be seen in his famous work on the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

The most striking part of his work is the way he utilizes string instruments to mount tension, illustrate an especially sinister or romantic moment in a movie. Badelt has worked on more than 80 movies, including some that got nominated for Oscar award like Gladiator by Ridley Scott, and The Thin Red Line by Terrence Malick. She has demonstrated her talent in creating intense, minimalist scores in movies such as Under the Skin, Jackie, and Marjorie Prime and earning a nomination for Oscar awards. Although she is still young in the industry, she has shown her mastery of the musical arts with her unique style and an impressive resume.
